Total Package Hockey Detroit is proud to announce that 30 TPH-trained players have been claimed by North American Hockey League franchises, either by signing players to an NAHL tender or by selecting them in the 2017 NAHL Draft on June 6.

Thunder Alum Zack Conner Tenders With The Austin Bruins in NAHL

The Meijer AAA hockey organization, members of the North American Prospects Hockey League (NAPHL) are pleased to announce that 18U defenseman Zack Conner has signed a North American Hockey League (NAHL) tender agreement with the Austin Bruins of the NAHL’s Central Division.
Conner, 18, is in his first season playing for the Meijer AAA 18U team in the NAPHL. The 6’1/185 lbs. native of Hendersonville, Tennessee, has one assists in four games played thus far for Meijer AAA.
Conner recently made his NAHL debut, appearing on the Bruins blueline in a 5-0 win over the Chippewa Steel back on October 27th. Conner was a +1 in the contest.
Prior to playing for Meijer AAA this season, Conner spent last season at The Gunnery Prep, and prior to that he played for the TPH Thunder.
He is the first Meijer AAA 18U player to sign an NAHL tender this season.
A tender is a contract, of sorts, a player signs announcing his intentions to play for that particular NAHL team and that NAHL team only. Once a player signs a tender with an NAHL team, his playing rights belong to that team within the NAHL and he may not be recruited by any other NAHL team. Each team is granted ten (10) tenders, which include two (2) tenders exclusively used on players from the NAPHL – plus or minus any trades – which became active on Nov. 1. Tendered players are not eligible for the NAHL draft, which will be held on June 4, 2019.

Noah Henry tendered by Aberdeen Wings of NAHL

“I can’t thank Coaches Bowen, Rowe, Fairbanks, Kaminski and Marakovski and the entire Thunder organization enough for the training and support that I received the from the organization from 2012-2016, Henry said. “TPH and Thunder’s training and professionalism is outstanding. They gave me a solid foundation in skating, game play, and mental approach to the game that I am still using every day and will use as long as I play hockey.”

Check out Henry’s hockey accomplishments as we celebrate another success story from the TPH family.

17 NJP Alumni Participated in NAHL Showcase

Last weekend was the 7th annual North American Hockey League (NAHL) Showcase at the Super Rink in Blaine, Minnesota. All 26 NAHL teams were present and we are excited to see 17 of our Nashville Jr. Predators alumni competing in the showcase. Below is the alumni who competed in the showcase:

ABOUT THE NAHL SHOWCASE

During the 2018-19 season, a record total of 351 NAHL players made NCAA commitments, with 232 (66%) of those being NCAA Division I commitments. The NAHL Showcase plays a big role in that success, with dozens of players each season earning an NCAA Division I opportunity during and following their participation in the event.

“The NAHL Showcase is the Greatest Show on Ice and truly representative of why the NAHL is the League of Opportunity. Our mission each season is to continue to set the bar higher and higher and the 2019 NAHL Showcase will be no different. There is simply no other event like this that brings together the number of scouts that we see during the five days and we look forward to seeing a new crop of players and talent showcase their skills,” said NAHL Commissioner and President Mark Frankenfeld.

The NAHL Showcase attracts over 9,000 people in overall attendance, including more than 350 professional, college and junior scouts. For scouting purposes, the NAHL Showcase is the premier event of its kind and is a yearly gathering for every NCAA program and NHL team as they get their first look at some of the best and brightest hockey talent North America has to offer.
