Kaliyev, McGroarty win OHL championship with Hamilton
The Hamilton Bulldogs are Ontario Hockey League champions, which means there are congratulations in order.
Total Package Hockey is proud to honor two members of the Bulldogs franchise on the team’s OHL championship, which was secured with a Game 6 victory Sunday evening.
Congratulations to Arthur Kaliyev, a TPH Center of Excellence alum and Bulldogs forward, and Jimmy McGroarty, CoE player development coach and Bulldogs U.S. scout.
Kaliyev, a rookie with the Bulldogs, recorded 11 points in 21 OHL playoff games during Hamilton’s run to the league championship. In the regular season, he posted 48 points in 68 games and was named to the OHL All-Rookie Team in the process.
The Bulldogs now advance to the 2018 Memorial Cup – Canadian junior hockey’s most prestigious tournament – in Regina, Saskatchewan. The tournament takes place from May 18-27.
