Event Coordinator

Total Package Hockey, one of the nation’s largest hockey service providers, is searching for an Event Coordinator.

The ideal candidate should have the following mindset:

  • A willingness to work, grind and hone your craft on a daily basis.
  • A passion for building personal and/or professional relationships with fellow staff members, players/families, coaches/managers and all members of the hockey community.
  • A desire to embrace a non-traditional work schedule with non-traditional hours, ie. this is not a 9-5 position.
  • An open-mindedness to an occupation that requires multi-tasking and the “wearing of multiple-hats” related to providing hockey services.

The following qualification is required when applying for this position:

  • Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
  • Microsoft Office proficient.
  • Able to complete a variety of administrative tasks in a timely fashion a must.
  • Willing to participate in ongoing training and related professional development activities as directed.
  • Will have to comply with SafeSport Certification regulation and background check

The following qualifications are considered assets when applying for this position:

  • Past business/organizational work experience.
  • Past youth hockey relationships/networking

Job Description for Event Manager, Specific but not Limited to:

Recruiting/Fundraising

  • Recruit for events specifically but not limited to Tournaments
  • Perform fundraising efforts
  • Build relationships with associations and teams
  • Market events through creating social media posts and other outreach

Administrative

  • Coordinate and Manage all pre-event tasks
    • Schedule events
    • Online registration and fee collection
    • Grow relationships with onsite vendors that increase the experience for families
    • Coordinate all tournament support staff and volunteers
    • Coordinate all facility needs with facilities
    • Coordinate event officials, refs and score keepers
    • Pre and post communication with programs and teams
  • On-site event management
  • Ensure all events are USAH sanctioned and follow all affiliate rules

Culture and Environment

  • Create a safe and positive environment at each event
  • Ensure teams and programs have a positive memorable experience by exceeding their expectations
  • Support all processes and procedures originating from the TPH-Hub and assist with implementation and enforcement, at all TPH events.
