This program will focus on the skills necessary to be an effective forward player. Players will work on all 3 positions, Left/Right Wings and Center. Skating will be the basis of each session working on positional skating skills that will be used in game situations. Quick starts/stops, changing directions, Crossing over to gain speed, lateral movements, puck control, puck protection, giving and receiving passes in motion, becoming a passing option, defensive, offensive and neutral zone play, how to become a scoring option, shooting in motion/in traffic, these are only a few of the many skills and concepts that will be taught during each 2 hour session.
